“As countries around the world have scrambled to respond to and contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, contact tracing technologies and apps have emerged as a potential method for understanding how the virus has spread and how governments should subsequently act. However, advocates and activists have raised concerns that the use of contact tracing technologies can create significant privacy risks for citizens around the globe. Join YPFP for a discussion on how contact tracing technologies have been implemented around the world during the COVID-19 pandemic thus far, and what risks and benefits have emerged.
