Invited Seminar: AI Ethics – Applying Theories to Ethical Design
How should the future’s developers, data scientists, and business leaders think about the ethical questions that arise in AI technologies?
What does AI ethics mean? How does AI ethics become relevant to our lives and to what we create?
This guest lecture is a part of the Age of Disruption and it Implications seminar at MEF University. In this seminar, we look into use-cases to flesh out the type of ethical questions that arise in building technologies, discuss how these issues affect our lives, draw from the field of applied ethics to provide insights on how to think about and solve these problems, and have students do hands-on exercises by designing a product while considering and mitigating its ethics risks.
